Description: Come hear Rob Tod the owner of Allagash Brewing Company speak about how he built his company from a one man operation to a company that sells its beer all over the U.S. and has become one of the
industry's most distinguished and well-respected brands. Rob will explain how he noticed something missing in the American beer market and how he was able to take his vision and make Allagash into the company it is today, one with award winning beers.
Allagash has vastly expanded since Rob sold his first beer in 1995 and he will tell us about various transitions of his business and how he has managed this expansion while also producing the finest Belgian-style and experimental ales this side of the Atlantic.

Emilie Sommer, emilie inc.: Emilie inc. is a multifaceted wedding photography business founded and operated by Emilie Sommer. Before moving to Maine to start her business in 2004, she worked as a photographer for USA Today in Washington, DC. Since then the company has grown to a team of six photography professionals and have served customers locally, nationally and international. Emilie is an active contributor to a national wedding planning blog, while also managing an online forum for wedding photographers that she created. Emilie hosted a national workshop for photographers in July 2009 and recently formed the Pink Initiative, a non-profit to support breast cancer research. Rob Landry, Pemaquid Communications: Rob not only has a successful web design studio in Pemaquid Communications but he is at the forefront of the progressive ‘co-working’ movement in Southern, ME. Co-working is a work environment concept that brings together independent contractors on a project-by-project basis and leverages each participants’ particular skills and insight to complete a project. Rob will discussed the concept and we had the chance to see how it works!
